Calcium carbonate is an inorganic compound whose chemical formula is CaCO3. This compound naturally exists in the form of limestone, chalk, calcite, etc. Therefore, it is a common material in rocks. For example: calcite or aragonite (limestone contains both forms). The compound exists as white hexagonal crystals or powder and is odorless.
 
Calcium carbonate is often used in the construction industry and paper industry, and can be used as an additive in the food industry. In the plastic masterbatch, the general content of calcium carbonate is about 80%, the content of various additives is 5%, and the carrier resin is 15%. 

 

Uses of calcium carbonate with different mesh

The following are the uses of calcium carbonate powder with different mesh numbers.

1. Within 200 mesh: it can be used for various feed additives with calcium content of more than 55.6% without harmful ingredients.

2. 250 mesh to 300 mesh: used as raw materials for plastic factories, rubber factories, paint factories, waterproof material factories and for interior and exterior wall painting, with a whiteness above 85 degrees.

3. 350 mesh to 400 mesh: used in the manufacture of gussets, downspouts, and chemicals. The whiteness is above 93 degrees.

4. 400 mesh to 800 mesh: used for toothpaste, soap, rubber, plastic, cable, PVC, whiteness above 94 degrees.

5. 1250 mesh: PVC, PE, paint, coating grade products, paper making primer, paper surface coating, the whiteness is above 95 degrees. It has high purity, high whiteness, non-toxic, odorless, low oil quality and low hardness.
